May 2010 – Dec 2012
Client:
Clarksville Gas and Water
Project Type
Engineering

Rye Engineering provided engineering and construction administration services for a multi-phase water system expansion program for Clarksville Gas and Water. The completed phases included installation of more than 31,000 linear feet of 24-inch ductile iron transmission main, additional 16-inch water main extensions, a new 2.0-million-gallon composite elevated water storage tank, and an 8.0 MGD water booster pumping station. The program also included demolition of existing infrastructure, system upgrades, and installation of associated valves, meters, hydrants, controls, and appurtenances. As additional phases were implemented, the project expanded system capacity, improved operational flexibility, and supported long-term growth throughout the service area.

(Description above includes all 5 contracts. I’ve included the contract “Work” description for each project below if it is needed)

  • Contract #1: The work consists of the installation of approximately 7,560 linear feet of 24” ductile iron water main, 320 linear feet of 16” ductile iron water main, a water booster station, and all associated connections valves, meters, hydrants and other ancillaries as shown on the plans.
  • Contract #2: The work consists of the installation of approximately 11,775 linear feet of 24” ductile iron water main and all associated connections, valves, meters, hydrants and other ancillaries as shown on the plans.
  • Contract #3: The work consists of the installation of approximately 12,325 linear feet of 24” ductile iron water main and all associated connections, valves, meters, hydrants and other ancillaries as shown on the plans.
  • Contract #4: The work consists of the installation of a 2.0 M.G. Composite Elevated Water Storage Tank, and all associated site work, connections, valves, meters, and other ancillaries as shown on the plans.
  • Contract #5: The Work consists of the construction of an 8.0 M.G.D. water booster pumping station; the demolition of an existing 0.3 M.G. elevated water tank; and all associated site work, connections, valves, meters, and other ancillaries as shown on the Drawings, including, but not limited to, 36” ductile iron intake/discharge manifolds, magnetic flowmeter, electronic control valve, water tank mixing system and intake water tank modifications.
